computational poetry reading group
A recurring series of gatherings at the intersection of language and technology. Join us to read and discuss our way through the world of computational poetry and electronic literature through visual, historical, critical, and other contextual lenses. Gatherings may also involve hands-on remixing of classic computational poetry pieces, writing and critique sessions, guest speakers, reading and discussing adjacent texts, and more.
Experience with HTML/CSS/JS recommended but not required to attend. Bring your laptop and charger.
For this gathering, we will be exploring and discussing Ensemble Park #2, a journal of experimental human+computer writing edited by Kyle Booten and Katy Ilonka Gero. Please browse through the linked PDF and read what you can ahead of the event.
We will be joined by Alicia Guo and Ivan Zhao, who will read and share process from their Ensemble Park #2 contributions.
