Are you a student interested in science, innovation, or entrepreneurship? Here’s your chance to step into the world of tech commercialization!
We are looking for entrepreneurial students to showcase real biomedical patents at an exciting event aimed at attracting potential investors. You don't need a prior idea to participate, just your curiosity and ingenuity.
💡BioChallenge participants will be team up to build a viable start-up around highly innovative patents kindly provided by BCM Ventures and the Rice Office of Technology Transfer. In this hackathon, you will learn how to ideate and effectively pitch a novel startup idea to an audience of industry professionals and entrepreneurs.
🚀 The top three teams will be awarded with cash prizes with $2,500 going to the winning team!

‼️ Who Can Apply?
BCM and Rice University students are eligible to apply as participants. No prior experience needed—just curiosity, motivation, and a passion for turning ideas into impact.
All other students and community members are encouraged to join our networking hour and support the pitching teams! Please register as Community Attendees.
