Accelerating SDG 7 From Goals to Real-World Impact: How GEN & CREAM Enable Traceable, Sustainable Solar Adoption

As the world moves toward cleaner and more accountable energy systems, the ability to verify impact has become increasingly important. This session, hosted by the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) with support from the Green Energy Network (GEN), CREAM, and Superteam Malaysia, explores how emerging technologies are influencing the next chapter of global solar adoption.

In this conversation, Ines Yong (GEN & CREAM) will highlight how new approaches in DePIN, blockchain, AIoT, and environmental data intelligence are shaping the evolution of sustainable energy infrastructure. The discussion will touch on themes around transparency, impact measurement, and new models for participating in sustainability-focused ecosystems.

Attendees can expect insights into topics such as:

  • Approaches to creating trustworthy and verifiable green energy networks

  • How intelligent devices and on-chain systems may enable more reliable solar impact data

  • New pathways for individuals and institutions interested in sustainability-driven initiatives

  • The wider implications of transparent energy information for global markets and climate efforts

Hosted during Breakpoint 2025, this session brings together academic, industry, and ecosystem perspectives to explore how clean energy and Web3 infrastructure may intersect to drive measurable change in the real world.
