About Event

Climate change doesn’t happen in isolation — its impacts cut across gender, health, human rights, livelihoods, and inequality. Women face disproportionate risks but also lead solutions, from water management to financial inclusion and entrepreneurship. Climate disasters inflict not only physical destruction but also deep mental health wounds — trauma, uncertainty, and loss. At the same time, green and sustainable technologies are reshaping how education, health, and creative industries engage with climate resilience.

This session will center intersectionality as a strategy for climate justice. Together, we’ll explore how community-led, cross-sector approaches — connecting gender equity, human rights, finance, and mental health — can deliver systemic, scalable solutions.

Speakers

  • Claire O'Donnell — Resource Mobilization Manager at Educate Girls, supporting award-winning efforts to expand education access for millions of rural girls in India.

  • Lelemba Phiri — Co-founder and Partner at ATG Samata, an award-winning investor and gender lens finance leader in Africa.

  • Leslie Wetzel — Development executive specializing in women’s economic empowerment with 20 years of global fundraising experience.

  • Pradnya Haldipur — Founder of Strategy.Creativity.Mentorship, a strategist advancing social good and fundraising across sectors.
