About Event

Welcome to the fifth webinar in the OpenAir Collective's 2026 Carbon Removal Challenge monthly webinar series! We're proud to present a panel on CDR accelerators, with AirMiners' Tito Jankowski, Marble's Mica Taborga Claure, and remove's Marian Krüger.

Join us for a discussion of their accelerator programs, what they look for in participating startups, the successes that their participants have had, and their advice to student teams participating in the Challenge.

OpenAir's Beatriz Beccari Barreto will moderate. Duncan McDowall of Possible Studio will handle audience Q&A.

One of carbon removal's most enthusiastic and long-time advocates, Tito Jankowski is founder of AirMiners, which provides catalytic support for entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists, designers, buyers, and investors focused on extracting carbon from the air. AirMiners supports the global carbon negative community with networking, education, inspiration and access to funding. AirMiners' Launchpad is an accelerator program for founders of early stage carbon removal companies looking to rapidly gain traction for their business goals. 227 startup graduates have raised $250 million of venture capital and grants. Mati Carbon, the winner of the Carbon Removal XPRIZE, is a Launchpad graduate.

Mica Taborga Claure, PhD leads the Venture Science team at Marble, a climate tech venture studio based in Paris. Marble partners with scientists, engineers, and operators to create companies solving hard climate problems in the world's largest industries. Their first 13 companies are building transformative products across energy, industry, agriculture, and climate resilience. 100% have been successful in raising follow-on funding. Mica's team is focused on technology development, scale-up, and deployment, working across thesis strategy, opportunity research, company creation, and portfolio support. Mica previously worked on direct air capture at Repsol and ExxonMobil and she holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech.

Marian Krüger is Co-Founder and Managing Director at remove, a non-profit, CDR-focused accelerator program designed to support early-stage startups in Europe, India, Africa and Latin America. So far, remove has supported more than 190 startups through their accelerator program and has been involved in tangible policy work and knowledge sharing in the CDR space. Marian is co-author of the book Race to Zero: How Companies Can Lead the Way to Climate Neutrality.

Moderator Beatriz Beccari Barreto is a carbon dioxide removal project manager and sustainability consultant specializing in life cycle and techno-economic assessment. She works at the intersection of policy, business, and science, supporting credible climate and carbon removal strategies.
