We are excited to welcome you to the second session of the Cycling Made Simple by CIOVITA series.
This session is designed to make group riding feel clear, safe, and enjoyable. You do not need to have attended session one to join, this session can be followed independently.
Session #2 - How to ride in a group
In this session, we will cover everything you need to know to ride confidently and comfortably with others.
We will cover:
The essential hand signals and why they matter
How to position yourself safely and maintain the correct spacing
How to pace yourself and ride smoothly within a group
How to draft efficiently and when it is appropriate
How to rotate and take turns at the front
The key things not to do when cycling in a group
What to do when things do not go as planned
And more.
There will be plenty of room for questions, so you can leave feeling informed and at ease.
After the ride, we will stop at Cafecito for coffee and cake, the perfect moment to relax and connect.
About Cycling Made Simple by CIOVITA
Cycling Made Simple by CIOVITA is designed to support people from the very first steps of their cycling journey and beyond. It offers guidance before you ever clip in and continues as your confidence grows, both on and off the bike.
The series is ideal for beginners, those returning to cycling, or anyone who has never cycled before and wants to feel more comfortable, informed, and supported.
The full series includes four sessions
26th of Feb - How to start cycling
28th of Mar - How to ride in a group
16th of Apr - How to climb and descend
30th of Apr - How to fix simple mechanics on the road
Each session requires individual sign up. If you complete 3 out of 4 sessions, you will receive a merino jersey from CIOVITA as a gift!
Sessions two through four will include a practical ride following a theoretical information session, allowing participants to immediately apply what they learn in a supportive group setting.
We look forward to riding together, learning together, and growing with you. See you soon!
