About Carina

I’m an artist and illustrator with a passion for storytelling through adorable, witty and relatable visuals. My journey began by documenting my art on Instagram, which eventually led to the creation of my now-beloved character, Carbi. Over time, Carbi evolved into more than just a character—it became the face of my creative business dedicated to bringing ideas to life.

My first big step was freelancing as an illustrator, collaborating with both local and international brands to produce custom artwork. From there, my own brand focused on transforming client visions into vibrant illustrations, merchandise, and animations. Whether it’s whimsical artwork, launch kits, or branding visuals, I’ve poured my heart into every project.

The road hasn’t always been smooth. In the early days, I struggled to balance a full-time job with managing a growing business. But those challenges taught me resilience, resourcefulness, and the importance of embracing unexpected opportunities. Every setback shaped me into the artist and entrepreneur I am today.

Now, Carbi is more than just an adorable rice ball mascot—he’s a way for me to connect with people and tell their stories through art. Through this journey, I’ve also been inspired to give back by supporting food charities, combining my love for creativity with a desire to make a meaningful impact. As I continue to explore new styles and techniques, I’m excited to see where this creative adventure takes me next!

About Chevonne

I'm an entrepreneur who thrives on building things from the ground up. My journey started in management consulting, but I quickly followed my passion into the world of start ups.

My first big role was with Cookie Department, where I grew the team from just me to a team of 20, bringing our treats to Hong Kong through a series of pop-ups. This experience gave me the confidence to launch my own brands: Oh Fudge! Brownies and Sit & Paw. With Sit & Paw, we created Hong Kong's first locally made freeze dried dog treats, made mooncakes for dogs during Mid Autumn Festival and turned our success into a substantial donation for SPCA.

The journey wasn't without its challenges. A kitchen fire from a faulty freeze dryer forced me to make the difficult decision to close Sit & Paw. But when one door closes, another opens. Just as I was rebuilding, I was offered the chance to franchise a Taiwanese dessert brand. We opened our doors at the height of the COVID pandemic. Running a restaurant was a masterclass in resilience, and I'm proud to have led it to profitability before selling it after two rewarding years.

My latest experiment is a first-of-its-kind smoothie vending machine. It's a new adventure, and I can't wait to see where it leads.
