About Event

Build Fast, Display Clean

This event focuses on using Zed to build a plugin for TRMNL that puts information where it belongs: visible, but not distracting. You're encouraged to use Zed to build your project, and we'll have plenty of help and documentation to help you get started.

Challenge ideas can includes:

Developer tools (e.g., build status, PR reviews, deployment alerts, who's working on what)
Team coordination (e.g., standup summaries, availability, focus mode indicators, meeting reminders)
Personal productivity (e.g., todo lists, calendar + weather, transit times, workout tracking)
Data monitoring (e.g., analytics dashboards, API health checks, system status, uptime monitors)
Ambient awareness (e.g., GitHub activity, crypto prices, news feeds, community stats)

9:30 - 10:00pm - Time for judges choose a winner
10:00 - 10:30pm - Winners are announced!
