What Employers Need Now & In An AI-Driven Future: Skills in Demand in Health & Energy
What is Human Capital Quarterly?
The nature of work is changing fast. Presented by DC Public Library and Levy, the Human Capital Quarterly forum features workshops and talks led by local training programs, community-based upskilling initiatives, professional organizations, and industry leaders with real workforce insight. The goal is simple: bring together a wider range of contributors to the National Capital Region's workforce to share ideas and to lead practical, hands-on sessions.
Who it's for
If you're jobseeking, or simply someone who knows that work in this next decade is going to shift rapidly, join us for hands-on programming and conversations on April 14th. We'll have a special focus on climate and energy throughout the day, but the conversations will be relevant for anyone thinking about how to pivot their career, future-proof their skills, and navigate the uncertain future ahead of us all. We want people to come and engage with the range of opportunities and networks available to them for building skills, exploring careers, and making connections.
What Employers Need Now & In An AI-Driven Future: Skills in Demand in Health & Energy: 1:15pm-2:00pm
What are employers actually looking for — and how is that changing? This panel, moderated by Pat Philippe of the Mayor's Workforce Investment Council, brings together voices from the health and energy sectors to talk about in-demand skills, how AI is reshaping hiring and job design, and what workers and jobseekers should be paying attention to right now. Expect a guided conversation followed by reflection and audience Q&A.
