​Virtual kick-off on Zoom + in-person showcase at OCAD University

​Building Our Future in AI: The Latin@ Summit is a full-day gathering dedicated to empowering the Latin@ community and allies to lead, innovate, and thrive in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence. Together, we’ll create a collaborative, inclusive space to connect, share knowledge, build skills, and co-create solutions that advance representation, equity, and impact in AI and technology.

​How the summit works

​Your registration gives you access to two connected experiences:

• ​Virtual Prep Session (Zoom)
  Monday, February 16, 2026– evening (6:30pm to 10:00pm)
  We’ll introduce the Vibe Coding hackathon, form or finalize teams, walk through tools and submission guidelines, and offer short learning sessions to help you shape your ideas. We strongly expect at least one person from each team (ideally all) to attend this virtual session, since it sets you up for the in-person showcase.

• ​In-Person Summit & Final Showcase
  Saturday, February 28, 2025 – 9:30 AM–5:00 PM
  OCAD Rosalie Sharp Pavilion, 115 McCaul St, Toronto
  A full day of networking, a “Latin@s in AI” panel, 10–16 platform/project showcases (5-minute pitches + demos), community expo tables, preliminary survey results from the Canadian National Latino Community Survey, and an awards ceremony celebrating the top three projects.

​Who is this for?

​Latin@s and allies in AI/tech, students, early-career professionals, community leaders, and partners who care about digital equity, responsible AI, and Latin@ leadership in Canada.

​Pricing & access

​Tickets are offered on a sliding scale (approx. $10–$25 CAD) to help cover venue, food, and event costs. If the entrance fee is a barrier for you, please let us know—we want everyone who is interested to be able to participate. The primary language of the event is English.
