A Professor of Computer Science at Santa Clara University, she has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and is an internationally sought-after speaker, having given talks at Oxford, Google, the United Nations, Stanford, and Microsoft. Her work has been featured in Forbes, NPR, Fortune, NBC News, and other major outlets.
Dr. Ackerman is a council member of Voice of the People, an organization led by the President of Israel that is committed to combating antisemitism worldwide. She was also the first research scientist to study antisemitism in AI. Over the past decade, he has led research and development across spatial audio, game audio, music production, and cinematic sound design, authoring 50+ patents in audio enhancement, acoustics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital signal processing. As a business leader, Kapil drives strategic partnerships and ecosystem growth with global leaders in gaming, cloud, and entertainment. Prior to founding Embody, he served as Senior Director at Marvell Semiconductor, where he scaled the audio product line into a multi-million-dollar global business.
