to rekindle our love for art and taste, and make use of the new video generation models beyond, localhost is hosting a short-story hackathon. 🎨
idea is simple 🤝 :
teams of 3 ppl.
hacking time of 3 hours.
you have access to all video-gen models and the internet to create a short film of maximum 1 min 30 seconds maximum.
before the hackathon starts, we'll have a mandatory workshop to teach participants about the most effective ways of video-gen prompting, animating and more. 🎞️
you also don’t need a team to come — i’ll assign you one, and you can trust my judgment :)
midjourney nerds and wanna-be nerds, all skill levels are welcome — the only criteria for acceptance: how agentic you’ve been in the past!
itinerary:
10:30am: check-in + snacks + vibes
11:30am: workshop on prompting and video-gen
12:30pm: start hacking
3:30pm: submissions due
3:45pm: a film screening of all short films in a theatre-like setting (DM me if you have contacts to a theatre!)
4:30pm: screening end, social hour @ lightspeed ventures
all credits for video-gen will be sponsored.
just bring yourself and your creativity — for once you won't be a tech bro/sis here, but a bro/sis at the intersection of art and technology.
seats are very limited, rsvp quick, spots aren't guaranteed.
