Interactive Animation in TouchDesigner ~Creative Coding Crafts Space [c3s] meetup #9~
💖 We're absolutely hyped to welcome Savannah Wells for our last workshop for the year - a super accessible intro to TouchDesigner!
Learn how to make an abstract liquid animation come alive with interactive keyboard mapping in TouchDesigner - the industry standard visual development programme for anything from art installations to VJ-ing -> https://derivative.ca/
This workshop is perfect for all levels of experience in TouchDesigner; whether you’re completely new and have never even opened it up before, or have used it many times and just not explored the interactive capabilities within it, there will be something to be gained for everyone.
🔶All you need is a working laptop with TouchDesigner installed and a free licence key set up.🔶
The event will be hosted by Savannah Wells Wiegand, a London-based experimental multidisciplinary designer currently working as a Motion Designer at CopperworksTV studio. With a background in fine art, she approaches each project through an abstract and conceptual lens, blending visual storytelling with unconventional techniques. In her professional practice, she works extensively with After Effects and Cinema 4D, crafting dynamic, visually rich motion pieces for a range of clients. Beyond the studio, Savannah-Wells channels her curiosity into personal, experimental projects using TouchDesigner, where she explores generative visuals, interactivity, and immersive digital experiences. This balance between commercial work and creative exploration shapes her unique aesthetic, one that thrives on pushing boundaries, embracing ambiguity, and transforming abstract ideas into engaging visual narratives.

🌸 About c3s
Creative coding crafts space embodies the notion of making space - physical space, head space, collaboration space - where we can get together and craft coding projects, generative artwork, new or ‘traditional’ forms of creative coding projects: anything that is born out of the interactions and inspiration that ‘space’ allows for.
We aim to meet about once a month usually (but not this time!) in or around Hackney Wick - an area known for its large artistic community and a Creative Enterprise Zone. We kick things off with a couple of hours of structured content—introducing a new topic or tool, going through live demos, etc. After that, you can choose to stay and delve deeper into the topic of the day, work on your own projects or collaborate with others.
🛎️ Please note that the entrance fee is to help us cover the cost of the venue hire, and this is not a paid coding course.
