ONE OF OUR GAMEMASTERS
Musa Jaafar, founder of Gamerdad Games & Edutainment, is an experienced educator (in MOE and international schools overseas) and game enthusiast who has spent over two decades bridging the worlds of education, gaming, and gamification. Drawing from his extensive background in teaching and game design, he uses tabletop role-playing games and board games as tools to foster engagement, creativity, and collaboration in learning.
Musa has conducted professional development workshops for educators, demonstrating how board games can enhance critical thinking, communication, and classroom dynamics. As a seasoned game master and designer, he also organizes community game meetups aimed at promoting mental wellness and social connection, creating safe, inclusive spaces for people to unwind and bond over shared play. He continues to advocate for the educational and social power of games, showing that play can be both meaningful and transformative.
He presented a boardgame made with his two sons at a Maker Faire and Singapore Toys, Games and Comics Convention. He has conducted multiple corporate staff-bonding and welfare sessions for corporate clients and schools - including a game design workshop for a primary school. Musa is also the Guildmaster of Gamers' Guild (Asia) with 60+ members (and growing).
