When you arrive (near the Physical Energy Statue), please ensure you spread out into groups of no-more than 30 people, leaving space between groups for easy movement for both picnic-ers and passers-by. As guests in the park, it's our responsibility to minimise any disruption to other people enjoying their afternoon.

I also ask that you take care to collect and dispose of your own rubbish - as optimists, we should all aim to leave the park just as clean and tidy as when we arrived.

IMPORTANT: No BBQs are to be used in the park

Britain is full of optimists. We're just terrible at admitting it.

So a few of us are having a picnic in Hyde Park to fix that. One afternoon, one very good park, and a load of people who reckon things can actually get better.

No agenda, no speeches, no one collecting your email at the door. Just good company, good weather (we're optimists), and whatever you bring. Blanket, food, drink, and ideally someone who could do with cheering up. Nothing will be provided - it's a picnic, not a wedding.
