All participants in the Pilotathon and Showcase will be selected from public submissions. The Pilotathon features 4 categories focused on the new industrial era.

Pilotathon Categories
How it Works
Pitching: Participants present their pilot in a 7-minute pitch followed by a 7-minute Q&A session from the judges.
Requirements: Pitchers must attend a pitch preparation webinar and submit the final pitch deck by September 8, 2026.
Showcasing: Participants demonstrating working prototypes only need to submit an application; further requirements will be sent to those selected.

Cypher Pilotathon 2026 will take place in the X Atrium, POST Houston's atrium space known for its monumental Russian Constructivist-inspired staircase.
General Attendee Parking
POST Houston offers a discounted rate for Pilotathon attendees: $20 flat, with the first hour free. Parking is ticketless, an iPad is set up at the exit where you enter your information and receive a QR code to pay and exit.
Parking areas include:
Front lot is general parking, closest to the Franklin St. main entrance
EV charging spaces located on the side of the building, free 30-min charging near the Bagby St. entrance
Overflow lot across the street, for high-traffic times
Rideshare (Lyft/Uber) is also recommended given downtown Houston traffic.
Showcase, Resource Table & Vendor Parking
If you're bringing equipment or setting up a table, please use the back lot, it has direct access to the freight elevator, making load-in much easier:

Drive past the Tesla chargers and turn right to the back of the building
The loading dock is between Columns T & U

Take the freight elevator to Level 4
We recommend arriving early this secures both parking and gives your booth more visibility with morning program attendees before doors open to the public.
