Cypher Pilotathon 2026: The NEW Energy Industrial Revolution
Houston: The Crossroads of Innovation
Houston’s unique combination of energy capital, LNG infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing makes it the only place to host the startups powering the next industrial era.
The 2026 Theme
This year is about meeting increasing power demand, building manufacturing and industry, and deploying intelligence across every hard sector of the economy.
1. Critical Minerals & Resource Security — Sovereignty of the supply chain.
2. Grid Infrastructure & Distributed Energy — Meeting exponential demand at the wire
3. Industrial Decarbonization & hard-to-abate sectors — Re-engineering the molecule, transforming the process
4. The Future of Industrial Work — Intelligent operations, autonomous systems, and the workforce behind them
Agenda
Morning | Keynotes & Panels
8:00–9:00|Coffee
9:00–9:30 | Welcome & Opening Remarks, ETN Founding Partners
9:30–10:05 | Keynote Speakers
10:05–10:35 | Panel 1: From Scarcity to Strategy. The Global Race for Critical Minerals Critical minerals are the chokepoint of the entire industrial economy. This panel brings together a perspective on where the investment is flowing, where the supply gaps are most acute, and how companies across the value chain are building resilience into the system.
Ionel Nechiti, Investment Director, Aramco Ventures — Speaker
10:40–11:10| Panel 2: Grid Infrastructure & Distributed Energy The demand for power has never grown this fast or this unpredictably. This panel takes a frank look at the gap between what the grid was built to deliver and what the next decade of industrial and digital growth actually requires, and where the most promising solutions are emerging to close it.
Hema Prapoo, Corporate Vice President, Energy & Resources Industry, Microsoft, Speaker
11:10–12:15|Panel 3: Industrial Decarbonization: From Lab to Plant: Closing the Scale-Up Gap in Industrial Decarbonization. The technology to decarbonize heavy industry exists but the challenge is in scaling. This panel examines what it actually takes to move a decarbonization technology from promising prototype to commercial deployment, the capital, the infrastructure, the risk tolerance, and the partnerships that make the difference between a pilot that stalls and one that reaches market.
