Moonshot: A 5050 x Frontier Tower Forum
The UK has the talent, creativity and, I dare say, the capital to build world changing companies. Every now and then, we even do. What we need more of is optimism. So much optimism it borders on delusion. The delusion to shoot for the moon. The delusion that would place us among the stars.
We are gathering those who want to change things this decade.
Expect founders leading groundbreaking companies, exceptional builders making their next move, and the ecosystem players backing decade-long bets. The right people in one house sharing what we can actually do to foster transformational companies here in the UK.
The vision of Frontier Tower is to enable people to take bold, exciting bets, to lift the bar and to provide the infrastructure and the community to foster audacity.
We are far from the only one’s with this vision. There is a seismic shift occurring in London, and we're teaming up with our friends at 50Y to host our first Frontier Tower Forum, addressing the question, “What does it take to build a moonshot company in the UK”.
🚀🚀🚀
The Agenda: 20th Feb, 5.30-8.30pm, Soho Sq.
We want you to have the chance to meet the incredible people in the room. The programme is designed to be dropped into between conversations. There’ll be discussions and demos scattered around the house. Just make sure to crowd in upstairs at 6pm for an intro talk followed by the panel.
Spaces are limited, so we're prioritising members of Frontier Tower and 5050, founders at the bleeding edge of DeepTech, and those who support them.
What’s Happening:
The full programme will be shared the week before the event. As a teaser.
Panel - Is Space the Final Frontier?
Space is no longer a 20 year bet. From energy to biotech, should founders and investors outside the sector also be looking to the stars?
with BioOrbit, Lodestar & Astron Systems
Roundtable 1: The 5 Ws of being a Founder
Moonshot companies require deep technical expertise - how do we enable scientists to become founders, and when should they start?
w/ 50Y
Founder showcases / demos: the crème de la crème of London DeepTech including: MintNeuro, London Biocompute, Elo & more
Office hours: For founders navigating their next big leap. We’ll have a few seasoned DeepTech founders happy to advise!
Afters: 8.30pm+
We’ll wrap up with drinks and afterparty for the FT community. If you are not a member we’d still love you to join. We just ask that you make a small contribution (£10) to to cover a couple of drinks!
Or if you're ready to take the leap and join us, sign up at https://frontiertower.io/next/london - It's a one off payment and it will be refunded if the tower does not open.
We will share a separate event with attendees.
About Frontier Tower
Frontier Tower is a third space for DeepTech pioneers. We opened in SF in April, now we're bringing that energy to London.
We're transforming a tower in central London into a physical home for the creators and innovators pushing the boundaries of frontier technology.
Each floor provides a home to a distinct DeepTech community - self-governed, curated, and obsessed with their corner of the future. AI researchers. Neuroscientists. Crypto builders. Climate technologists. But the real magic happens between floors - when a biotech founder meets a robotics specialist, when a VC discovers their next investment over coffee, where conversations spark breakthroughs you couldn't predict.
This isn't desk space. It's serendipity as infrastructure.
