About Event

A day dedicated to Amplifying Indigenous, Afro-descendant, and local storytellers reshaping the climate conversation through art, film, and digital media. Centered on culture as climate justice, the program moves from reflection to celebration — with community-led circles, panels, film screenings, and a night of music and dance.

2:00 - 2:45 PM Espaço Biomas | Welcome to Our Village

Welcome by Pará community leader and elder Nato Tupinambá, joined by Priscila Tapajowara and Yurshell Rodríguez. Together they offer a land acknowledgment and share stories from their territories.


3:00 - 4:30 PM Espaço Biomas | Panel: Training & Filmmaking in the Territory (In partnership with Health in Harmony)

Moderated by Yurshell Rodriguez, with Edivan and Genison Guajajara, Renan Khisetje and Suluene Guajajara.


5:00 - 6:00 PM Espaço Biomas | Panel: Digital Narratives for Climate Justice (In partnership with Climate Land Use Alliance)

Join us for a dynamic conversation with Indigenous influencers exploring how digital storytelling drives climate justice and cultural renewal. Moderated by Lucía Ixchiu, with Samela Sateré-Mawé (Brazil), Iqbal Kaplele (Indonesia), Edinson Yesid (Colombia) and Pascal Mirindi (Congo).

6:30 - 9:00 PM Espaço Biomas | Broadcast: Women for Earth and Climate (Nia Tero, Mídia Indígena, Earth Alliance)

Join us at Espaço Biomas for the live broadcast of this special event celebrating and honoring the wisdom, strength, and vital leadership of Indigenous Women Leaders.


9:30 - 10:30 PM | Cultural Night: Sounds of Pará – Carimbó Concert

The evening culminates in rhythm and celebration with Suraras do Tapajós, a local Carimbó group.
