Conductor: Building the State of the Art
If you're running Claude Code, you're probably hitting the point where you're running multiple agents at a time. Suddenly the problem isn't just about directing the model, but orchestrating multiple projects across different tasks in parallel.
This session is focused on Conductor — one of the more popular tools that's emerged to manage multiple agents simultaneously. But the bigger question isn't about any single tool, it's about the coordination and context management patterns underneath. Questions like, "When do you use worktrees vs branches?", or
"How do you avoid context loss across compression boundaries?" and particularly "How do you leverage multiple agents without exhausting your cognitive load?". That's what we're digging into.
What we'll do:
- Review what Conductor is and where it sits in the agentic computing stack.
- Hear from a guest Power User on where orchestration patterns work vs. where they break down.
- Live discussion on which orchestration patterns work and why.
- Hands on Collaboration in small groups
- Close with synthesis and reflection.
What is BSOTA?
Building the State of the Art is an IRL event series where practitioners come together to socialize the tacit knowledge that just doesn't exist online. We align on a shared vocabulary, surface the latest patterns and trends, and figure out what works together.
If you missed our last session on Claude Code, make sure to show up for this month's event, because this is the worst AI will be!
Who this is for:
- You're running agents regularly and want to get better at managing multiple sessions.
- You're actively scaling your Claude Code productivity but can't find a workflow that works for you.
- You spend everyday working with AI alone, and haven't talked to a human in weeks. (take a break)
