EERA Workshop on Photovoltaics & Digitalization

The EERA Workshop on Photovoltaics & Digitalization is a unique joint initiative of two EERA Joint Programs:
Photovoltaics (JP PV) and Digitalisation for Energy (JP DfE).

This workshop has been designed as a highly interactive, in-person–focused event, bringing together experts from photovoltaics, measurement, meteorology, modeling, data science, and digital solutions. While online participation is possible, on-site attendance in Vienna is strongly encouraged to fully benefit from the discussions, networking, poster sessions, and collaborative format of the workshop.

The joint organization by JP PV and JP DfE ensures a cross-disciplinary perspective, addressing both the needs of PV systems and operation and the opportunities and challenges of digitalization across the full value chain.

Why Attend Onsite in Vienna?

  • Direct interaction with speakers and experts from both Joint Programs

  • Active participation in plenary discussions and topic-based round tables

  • Poster sessions enabling in-depth technical exchange

  • Networking opportunities across research, industry, and digitalization communities

  • Dedicated networking dinner on 25 February (included in selected ticket)

Workshop Focus

The workshop aims to:

  • Identify gaps between digitalization and real PV applications

  • Discuss needs on the PV plant and operation side

  • Explore the potential of measurement for precision and data quality

  • Present digital tools, AI, modeling, and HPC solutions for PV applications
