About Event

As part of Toronto Climate Week, we’re convening a select group of 10–15 entrepreneurs, researchers, engineers, investors, and civic leaders for an intimate dinner and brainstorming session. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE A NETWORKING OR PITCH EVENT.

Our goal for the Forum: to kickstart a quarterly (or more frequent) Climate Innovation Forum series that connects Toronto’s brightest technical minds working on climate, energy, and sustainability related science and technology, with bold entrepreneurs and funders who want to form teams with the technical talent and incubate and build Climate-Tech startups. Think of it as a living lab for collaboration: where university research labs meet startup founders, where engineers meet investors, and where city officials find pathways to accelerate solutions that matter. We’re here to work on real, hard science innovation—not the next AI chatbot that tells you that you’re lonely, or a 5-minute delivery app that brings you more Doritos to eat while you wait for the planet to burn. We want to build the city into a global hub for climate tech innovation.

The goal of this inaugural gathering: we’ll collaborate and co-design the structure of these forums—so they maximize impact for all stakeholders.

Who should attend?

People who have done this sort of thing before, or feel that they can contribute to the workshop in a meaningful way with enthusiasm and a spirit of collaboration.

  • Entrepreneurs and Start up operators who want to gain early access to world-class climate science and engineering talent, or want to pitch climate tech product and business ideas to potential collaborators.

  • Researchers, Scientists, & Engineers who want to find pathways to translate their work into scalable ventures.

  • Investors and Mentors who want to get a front-row seat to future deal flow.

  • City officials, Grant funders & ecosystem builders who want to help shape Toronto into the climate tech capital of North America.

This is not just a dinner. It’s the seed of a movement—designed to unlock new partnerships, new ventures, and a stronger climate innovation ecosystem for our city.
