The Print Swap: Coffee, Conversation, & The Art of Photography
We’re hosting our first Print Swap at House 831 in collaboration with Canon Creator Lab — a curated community event where photographers and creators share and swap printed work over a morning coffee, meet new people, and get to share the moments and stories behind the image.
Here’s how it works:
You submit one photo in advance.
We print 3 copies of your image (8.5x11) so they’re ready when you arrive
You keep 1 copy of your own print, and swap 2 copies with fellow attendees (although you’re free to swap all 3 if you like)
Printing for all attendees is provided by Canon Creator Lab and Canon Canada.
Visual themes for this session include: Travel, Landscape, & Street Photography.

Capacity
40 spots max (an approved image submission is required to confirm your seat after registration)
What you’ll leave with
(1) print of your own image
(2) prints from others

Agenda
9:30 – 10:00 Arrival + coffee + check-in (you’ll receive your prints + name tag)
10:00 – 10:15 Welcome + how the swap works
10:15 – 11:45 Swap experience (guided mingling + randomized pairing)
11:45 – 12:00 Wrap-up + group photo
The swap format
We’ll run two swap styles throughout the morning:
Guided mingling swaps (simple prompts so it’s easy to meet people and trade)
Randomized pairing (we’ve got a fun swap planned with some randomized pairing for 1 of the prints, you’ll get instructions upon arrival)

If you RSVP but don’t submit by the deadline, your spot may be offered to the waitlist. PLEASE READ your pending confirmation email after registration - that's where you'll find the link to submit your image.

FAQ
Do I need a camera / bring gear?
No, this isn’t a shooting event. Just bring yourself (and maybe a friend - they’ll need a ticket as well).
Can I submit photos captured on a phone?
Yes, as long as the file meets the print requirements (we’ll share an easy guide during submission).
Can I submit more than one image?
No, just one image per attendee to keep it fair and simple.
What if I can’t make it after submitting?
Please cancel early so we can offer your seat to the waitlist.
