BGI25 Hackathon explores four frontier themes shaping ethical AGI:

1. ​AGI + Cultural Memory — Preserve and translate indigenous knowledge using symbolic AI.

2. ​Explainable AI for Civic Decision-Making — Build transparent AI systems that earn public trust.

3. ​Decentralized News & Media Integrity — Create community-driven, verifiable news ecosystems.

4. ​Protecting People from AI Harm — Design tools that safeguard children and vulnerable users.

​Prizes:

• ​$5,000 in Cudos compute credits for developers

• ​8 winners total (2 per track):

  • ​4 x $750 (1st place)

  • ​4 x $500 (2nd place)

  • ​Finalist Present announced October 23 during BGI25 Live from Istanbul Un Conference.

  • ​Winners Announced October 25th Time TBD
