Learn about the fast lanes and pivot points to becoming a cleantech skilled trade apprentice via facilitated experiential learning. Explore PV, HVAC or Electrician 'Day in the Life' 360 VR experiences. Check out skilled trades scenarios via Matterport digital twins and 360° touch-wall mechanical rooms. About the Host: About EPICS Enspire Potential: Immersive Cleantech Studio (EPICS) is a cutting-edge learning program launched recently by the BOMA Enspire Program. This free pilot project is open to cleantech skilled trades, project teams, sustainability professionals, building performance teams, and job seekers interested in cleantech and proptech careers in real estate.
EPICS experiential learning lessons replicate real-world operational and retrofit environments using 3D/VR/Digital Twin technology projected in our 15' x 15' BOMA Enspire Immersive Media Room with touch-walls. Interactive facilitated sessions cover Retrofit Planning, Building Performance, Cleantech Career Pathways, and Smart Building Systems.
About Toronto Community Benefits (TCBN) Guest Presenter: Emmanuel Ugwu is Toronto Community Benefits Capacity Building Lead and a Professor at George Brown College. His work spans sustainability strategy, energy efficiency, decarbonization, and environmental management, contributing to training, workforce development, and the advancement of low-carbon and resilient systems. He has 18+ years of experience across environmental systems, and climate-focused initiatives delivering sustainability-driven projects, with strengths in project/program management, stakeholder engagement, and performance reporting.
