About Event

Can the future of our planet be changed by the soil beneath our feet? On June 2, discover how the answers may already be growing beneath us.

Join us for a free advance screening of Groundswell documentary during Toronto Climate Week – presented exclusively ahead of the film’s global release on Prime Video.

Groundswell is a decade-in-the-making documentary at the forefront of a global movement bridging climate and regenerative agriculture. Across five continents – from a Nespresso Sustainable Quality Plan partner coffee farm in Colombia to communities around the world – the film encounters farmers, scientists, and Indigenous leaders reshaping humanity’s relationship to land. Narrated by Demi Moore and featuring Woody Harrelson, it reframes global agriculture not as a driver of collapse but as means to balance the Earth’s climate. Through intimate portraits and striking imagery, Groundswell reveals how regenerative practices draw down carbon, revive biodiversity and improve the lives of farmers. As droughts, floods, and food insecurity intensify, the film invites us to see the very Earth under our feet as a vital and overlooked solution to humanity’s greatest crisis.

Following the 90-minute screening, stay for a live conversation hosted by Toronto Climate Week with keynote speakers, who will explore what the transition to regenerative agriculture looks like in practice – both here in Canada and globally, and what it will take to accelerate this shift.
