📌 Featured Speakers

Andrew Black — Founder & Managing Partner, BrandProject

Co-founder of Virgin Mobile Canada with Sir Richard Branson, growing it to over 1 million customers and $500M in revenue before its acquisition by Bell Canada. Former President at LEGO Americas, US GM at Nike, and VP Marketing at Dr Pepper 7UP. Andrew founded BrandProject in 2013 and has since built one of North America's most distinctive consumer venture platforms, backing brands acquired by Nestlé, P&G, Colgate-Palmolive, Chobani, and HelloFresh.

Hayden Williams — Partner, BrandProject

Former Principal at BBG Ventures, an early-stage consumer venture fund backed by AOL, and co-founder of Treatings, a venture-backed mobile startup. Hayden began his career in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Financial Institutions Group. At BrandProject, Hayden leads deal sourcing, investment execution, and fundraising support for portfolio companies.

While our first session featured the founders building next-gen consumer brands, this session turns the lens on the investors behind them. How does BrandProject identify a winning brand before the market does? What happens after the check is written? And what does it actually mean to co-incubate a company from scratch?

This session is designed for investors who want to go deeper — understanding not just what BrandProject backs, but how they build, and why their model has consistently produced outcomes that the broader consumer venture market has struggled to replicate.

In this session, you will learn:

  • How BrandProject sources deals from a pipeline of 750+ opportunities per year and what separates the ones they back from the ones they pass on

  • What co-incubation actually means in practice — how BrandProject builds brands from scratch alongside founders, from brand positioning to leadership recruiting to go-to-market strategy

  • How BrandProject thinks about exit planning from day one — identifying acquirers early and building companies that strategics want to buy

  • The thesis behind Fund IV — why this is one of the most compelling entry points for consumer investing in a decade, and what the next generation of portfolio companies looks like

  • How Southeast Asian investors can participate in Fund IV through Invext's SPV structure
