Flourish & Create: Envisioning San Francisco's Future [public]

​Join us for "Flourish & Create," a powerful collaborative art event dedicated to envisioning the future of San Francisco. Over the past four weeks, we've deeply explored what we want our city to look like, examining how its systems can truly support us in taking care of ourselves, each other, and the planet.

​This final session is your chance to transform those ideas into action! As we paint and doodle, we'll discuss the real, systemic changes we want to see in San Francisco, visually representing our collective visions for a truly flourishing city. Whether your vision includes sustainable infrastructure, equitable communities, thriving natural spaces, or new ways of connecting, your artistic contribution will help us collectively imagine and articulate a brighter future for San Francisco.

​We'll provide a variety of art materials, allowing you to choose your preferred medium: doodle on individual sheets of paper, paint on small canvases, or contribute to larger collaborative pieces. Your creations will then be displayed in a community art exhibit in the Commons, showcasing our shared aspirations for San Francisco's systemic flourishing. This event is a unique opportunity to connect with fellow community members, spark creativity, and contribute to a vibrant display of our city's potential.

​What to Expect

• ​Introduction & Inspiration: Claire Hinkel will kick us off by recapping our discussions on San Francisco's systemic flourishing, setting the stage for our creative session.

• ​Art Creation: Dive into painting and doodling! We'll have a range of materials, including acrylic paints, canvases (individual and potentially a large collaborative piece), and paper. Feel free to explore and express your vision.

• ​Collective Discussion: This isn't just art—it's a dialogue. As we create, we'll share our ideas for concrete changes and visions for San Francisco's future.

• ​Community Exhibit: All artwork will be displayed prominently in the Commons, celebrating our collective vision and inspiring ongoing conversation.
