About Event

Six Pods. Dozens of displaced federal professionals. One night to reveal how they’re turning disruption into innovation.

The AI Upskilling Lab’s Inaugural Cohort has spent the last month forming “Pods”—small teams of displaced federal workers and adjacent professionals—each tackling a real problem space where AI could make an impact.

On this night, the Pods will deliver their first public presentations: outlining the challenges they’ve chosen and the project paths they’ll pursue on the way to our Showcase and Demo Day at DC Startup & Tech Week, October 21.

This isn’t theory—it’s a living prototype for how regions can respond to disruption by building bottom-up infrastructure for reinvention, belonging, and applied learning. You’ll hear directly from six Pods:
