🧐 Intellectual Mixer - Dress-up Edition

​Back by popular demand. SF Intellectuals suffers long waitlists on our small group discussions through Meetup.com. This larger-sized event is designed to accommodate more people, and Commons members and +1s are invited to join.

​I'll be splitting us up into groups and providing topics to discuss. The groups will be shuffled several times, so you'll easily have lots of interesting conversations.

​This is a special "dress-up edition," so aim for elegance. e.g. A button-down shirt, blazer, blouse, dress, etc. I'll arrange for some soft instrumental music and tweaks to the lighting to give the room a special occasion feel.

​If you arrive late, come find me. I'll catch you up on the discussion topic and put you in a group. I'll make myself easy to spot.

​P.S. Here are some topics from our past mixers to give you an idea of what to expect:

• ​What does “freedom” imply, and what does it mean for you? Are we ever truly “free”?

• ​Are people morally responsible for their actions, or do most people do their best but their actions are ultimately dictated by the incentives of their environment?

• ​One area where AI will likely have large impacts in the coming years is Education. In the next 5-10 years, how should education adapt to AI?
