Women in Climate & Energy Learning Meetup - April 2026
This is a monthly virtual (via zoom) meetup for women who work in, or want to work in, climate and the energy transition.
We will use a Lean Coffee format, where we co-create the agenda real-time and get through the topics that are most interesting to the group. Each month we'll pick 1-2 relevant energy and climate industry learning themes to focus on.
This month we're focused on 2 topics:
Room 1: How AI can help decarbonize heavy industries
Guest: Paul is the CEO and co-founder of Archimetis, an operational reasoning system that transforms how heavy industry solves critical operational challenges; the team works across refining, chemicals, mining, and manufacturing sectors to bridge the gap between data and decisive action that help heavy industries optimize operations while cutting energy costs and carbon emissions. The platform tackles complex, multi-step industrial problems — diagnosing issues, forming hypotheses, and generating actionable solutions. Previously, Paul spent five years as Chief of Staff to Sundar Pichai at Google, working across operations, product, and strategy, and later led Cross-Google Growth and Developer platforms.

Room 2: How AI-enabled Earth data helps build planetary resilience
Guest: Dan Hammer is an environmental economist and the cofounder of LGND, an AI infrastructure company for Earth observation data; and co-founder Clay, a nonprofit open-source initiative developing a large Earth observation foundation model. Dan has decades of experience in tech and environmental experience in the public, private, and social sectors at The White House, NASA, Google X, National Geographic, XPRIZE, and the World Resources Institute. Dan is also the winner of both the inaugural Pritzker Award and the Mark Bingham Award for Excellence in Achievement by Young Alumni at UC Berkeley.
