Transatlantic Trailblazers
Episode 1: Building Deep Tech Across Borders — Denmark to Silicon Valley

How do Danish deep tech founders build globally scalable companies — and what does it take to bridge the leap from Denmark to Silicon Valley?

In the first episode of Transatlantic Trailblazers, Mads Lillelund (Board Member, Danish American Chamber of Commerce California – DACCC) interviews Line Kloster Pedersen (CEO & Founder of Visibuilt) in a candid conversation about the realities of building breakthrough technology, navigating cross-border expansion, and scaling ambition in one of the world’s most competitive innovation ecosystems.

Visibuilt, a Denmark-based deep tech company, is pioneering sustainable infrastructure materials by developing bio-based binders made from mycelium (fungi root networks) — with the goal of reducing reliance on fossil-based bitumen in asphalt and paving materials.

Together, Line and Mads will explore:

  • The founder journey

  • What it really means to “go global” — and why Silicon Valley remains a unique fund raising environment

  • The rise of climate-focused innovation in infrastructure, roads, and materials

  • How transatlantic communities can support founders and accelerate Danish innovation internationally

This webinar is designed for European and especially Danes and friends of Denmark in the U.S. — including founders, operators, researchers, investors, and innovation supporters — and anyone passionate about deep tech, climate tech, entrepreneurship, and transatlantic collaboration.
