Prior to Gnosis HQ, Sunny held Engineering leadership positions at various companies, including Sensorflow, a smart energy management platform, and technology design agency Mission Plus. He has built algo-trading platforms at trading firm Grasshopper, as well as data infrastructure solutions with Traveloka.
Sunny is passionate about building software to positively impact the lives of those around him. He has led teams to build award-winning software solutions to solve real world problems like getting access to education or stroke rehabilitation.
Tristan Wallaert, Head of Ecosystem at Request Network Foundation
Tristan is a payments and fintech leader with 15+ years of global experience across Uber, Grab, Groupon, and Request Network.
He has built and scaled payments operations across multiple jurisdictions; tailoring them to the local payments needs and local GAAPs while unifying the processes efficiently across the globe.
Tristan has driven some of the world’s largest payment ecosystems to restructure in order to reach their IPO readiness.
Currently, he is driving the strategy of Request Network to position the protocol as the backbone of Web3 payments and powering the immutable accounting revolution, for a seamless stablecoin payment ecosystem.
With deep expertise in payments, regulation, and product strategy, he bridges traditional finance and decentralised ecosystems.
Matthew Lovatt, Deloitte Tax Partner, Financial Services Tax, Singapore
Matthew is a Singapore Accredited Tax Advisor (Income Tax) and an England and Wales-qualified (non-practising) solicitor, with more than 15 years of relevant experience. He joined Deloitte's Southeast Asia Financial Services Tax Practice in July 2017. He has a leading role in the provision of tax advice to banking and capital markets, investment management and payments stakeholders. He supports a number of large financial institutions, investment managers and payment groups.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Matthew practised with Baker McKenzie London.
Matthew frequently helps clients with the design and implementation of complex cross-border projects. He has particularly strong expertise advising in the context of regulated environments including in connection with alternative assets investments. He is a subject matter expert with respect to the taxation of blockchain applications, tokenisation and digital assets, and Web 3.0.
Matthew holds an LL.B. (Hons) in Law, an LL.M with distinction in International Economic Law, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Fiscal Association, Singapore branch and a member of the Product Tax Committee of the Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA). Between 2021 and 2025 he served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Singapore FinTech Association.
