See the Music - Part 1 [members and +1s]

[October 21st] Part 1 – See the Music (about 2½ hrs)
NOTE: Please bring a laptop to this workshop, and a smartphone with Google Drive installed. Headphones will come handy too!

• ​Quick intro + demo of how you can turn your doodles into music videos using Vizloom — my app that’s still in alpha, so think “creative chaos,” not polished product :P

• ​Doodle time! Everyone draws freely while some tunes play

• ​We’ll snap photos of the doodles, toss them into a shared folder, and each person can pick a track (or two) they enjoyed

• ​Then we’ll try turning those doodles into short, trippy music videos together

• ​Finally, we’ll watch what everyone made!

​[October 25th, Public] Part 2 – See the Music: DJ Lesson + Party (about 3 hrs)

• ​BYOB

• ​I’ll set up my DJ gear with the projector and speakers so we can mix the doodle-music-videos from the first session

• ​I’ll walk everyone through the basics of DJing, including playlist creation — we’ll actually build the playlist we’ll be mixing for the night

• ​After that, whoever wants can hop on the decks and try DJing — I’ll be around to guide and help out

• ​And when we run out of apprentice DJs, I can take over to keep the music going
