Women’s Leadership for Climate and Justice: From Grassroots to Global
Women are leading climate solutions, entrepreneurship, and community resilience — yet they remain underrepresented in political power, underfinanced in innovation, and constrained by systemic barriers in emerging green and blue economies. Supporting women’s leadership requires more than inclusion as a principle; it demands investment in role models, networks, and resources at every level, from local political structures to global climate negotiations.
This session will explore how to build and finance the next generation of women leaders — spotlighting grassroots feminist leadership, self-help groups, and women-led climate innovations — and how to ensure their solutions are scaled alongside large infrastructure projects for a just and equitable climate future.
