California Leads: Investment, Innovation & the Clean Energy Economy
Despite facing strong headwinds from D.C., California’s cleantech industry, catalyzed by smart state incentives and direction, continues to drive innovation and deployment. For San Francisco Climate Week, we invite you to hear from our expert panel how California’s bold solutions are shaping the future of the clean economy—and our ability to achieve our climate goals—in the state and beyond. We’ll discuss how California’s policy, coupled with smart private and public investments are generating new opportunities to advance clean energy solutions, create green jobs, and build robust economic growth.
You’ll hear from leading clean energy and climate tech investors Nancy Pfund (DBL Partners), Samantha Grassle (Elemental Impact), and Apoorv Bhargava (Weave Grid) for an on-the-ground perspective on the state and evolution of California's clean energy sector and the key innovation and investment trends they are following. We’ll also be joined by one of the most powerful regulators in the country, California Air Resources Board Chair Lauren Sanchez to highlight state action driving innovation, including the leveraging of the bedrock Cap-and-Invest program, and reflect on the important intersection between policymakers, innovators, and investors to ensure a robust clean energy ecosystem. Our panel will be moderated by Richenda Van Leeuwen, executive director of Clean Energy Leadership Institute (CELI).
