Bêka and Lemoine spend a rainy day in the passenger seat of Ryue Nishizawa's vintage Alfa Romeo—"Giulia," the film's real co-star—as the SANAA co-founder drifts through Tokyo visiting buildings that shaped him, a few of his own projects, and his longtime partner Kazuyo Sejima. Rather than an office interview or monograph treatment, the Pritzker laureate narrates his city from behind the wheel. The result is diaristic drive where the car, the weather, and detours do most of the talking.
