The official opening night of Atlanta Fintech Week 2026. Five days, five themes, one ecosystem — and we're kicking it off the way it should start: fintech friends, startups, and comedy enthusiasts in one room, a drink in hand, and a whole lot of laughing before the week gets serious.

🎤 The night: Local professional comics take the stage. Then we close with Pitches Get Stitches® — a volunteer gets a randomly generated business name ("Crypto-Enabled Cat Therapy," "AI-Powered Origami") and pitches it live to the room. The audience judges. The winner takes home the trophy. It is not a term sheet. It is better.

Robert E. Daniel, known as RED, is the Founder and Chief Comedy Officer of Standups & Startups, where comedy, improv, and live performance become tools for building presence and connection. Trained at Second City and Gotham Comedy Club, with an MBA from Georgia Tech, he's the creator of Pitches Get Stitches®. He works from a simple conviction: performers aren't born, they're built — through reps, with the right tools and a stage to practice on. Where hustle meets humor.
