Devin Day: TechX Uganda 2026 Hackathon

​Build technology for real community and environmental challenges in one day. Part of IEEE CS SYP TechX Uganda 2026, hosted by the IEEE Makerere University Student Branch and its IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter, with IEEE branches at Ndejje, Ernest Cook, Kyambogo, ISBAT, and Mbarara.

​Form a team of 2 to 3 and pick one of nine challenge areas: waste, mobility, agriculture, energy, water, climate, disaster resilience, green computing, or AI for sustainability. Any tech stack is welcome. Confirmed participants get access to Devin, our build partner, to use during the hackathon.

​You will build, pitch to a panel of industry experts, faculty, and IEEE volunteers, and the winners will be announced at D-Day on Saturday, 12 December. Top teams get connections to local innovation hubs.

​Free. Open to students from all Ugandan universities. Hybrid.
