about ethan buckner
la singer/songwriter and community builder ethan buckner founded westside sounds at moss to honor the roots of venice’s iconic winston house and breathe life into his neighborhood music scene. ethan’s 2024 debut record treading water, produced by grammy-nominee justin glasco (paris paloma, the lone bellow), weaves between moments both intimate and anthemic, exploring struggles that are both deeply personal and unavoidably collective. following a whirlwind year of touring and releases, including a headline debut at la’s iconic troubadour, ethan and glasco are hard at work on his second lp. ephemera, coming in 2026, is ethan’s reckoning and redemption, written after he found himself immobilized for months in early 2025 following a severe back injury. His new work casts an invitation to embrace vulnerability as a source of power.
