​Everyone knows DeFi is risky, the question is whether that yield actually compensates lenders for the risks beneath the surface: smart-contract failures, oracle issues, weak collateral, governance mistakes, stablecoin depegs, and protocol dependencies.

​We’ll also cover the interconnected risk of liquid restaking. As assets like ezETH and rsETH move across L2s, lending markets, bridges, and AMMs, they can make Ethereum more capital efficient, but they may also create new paths for contagion. The core tradeoff is higher liquidity and more productive collateral versus a system where one failure can quickly spread across many protocols.
