​Pedro Moreira da Silva, Principal Product Designer for AI at GitLab
​Pedro Moreira da Silva needs no introduction. He's a past speaker and a community favourite. Next Monday, he'll be talking about GitLab's playbook to craft AI experiences with real examples. From how AI fits with user needs, through key design methods, to measuring success. What has worked well for us so far, in this growing world of experiences with AI.
​Tiago Pombeiro, Software Development Manager at Amazon
​How can AI enhance human insight, creativity, and decision-making in complex environments? Tiago Pombeiro is a seasoned Engineering Manager at Amazon, where he leads teams building scalable, AI-driven systems for compliance and customer experience across Europe.
​Before joining Amazon, he spent time at Maze, where user research and UX excellence shapes how theey design, validate and productize product features.
His talk will explore how moderated AI is transforming the way teams conduct user research. He will show how the Maze AI Moderator can autonomously run and analyse interviews while keeping researchers in control of quality and insight. We will examine how this approach removes logistical barriers such as scheduling and language constraints, enabling hundreds of structured conversations to happen in parallel and giving teams faster, more consistent access to user feedback.
From an engineering perspective, the session will unpack how such systems are built — from prompt-driven interview guide generation and dynamic follow-up logic to real-time conversation handling and summarisation. I will discuss the architectural choices behind orchestration, model governance, and data privacy, as well as the trade-offs between automation and human judgment. By the end, attendees will understand both the research value and the technical foundations that make large-scale AI-moderated studies possible.
​Ivan Grant Petrus, Co-Founder at Justus, Student at Kaospilot
​AI feels overwhelming—a distant tool for replacement, not partnership. But it doesn't have to be that way. Ivan Grant Petrus talk begins with an admission: technology is never the starting point.
Ivan Grant Petrus's art collective gained global recognition for provocative projects, including illicitly hanging art in the Louvre and the 'Pink Border' installation. After learning from extreme market volatility, he now runs an AI startup. He uses his KAOSPILOT training to build technology that serves as a true human partner.
Ivan will share actionable tools for building deep human alignment and demonstrate how this alignment becomes the 'secret ingredient’ that turns AI into a true, humble partner.

We are partnering with multiple restaurants across town and booking tables where you'll get to meet other 5 people after the talks.
