Future Sketch: Drawing Foresight with AI + Emotion
What if you could glimpse the future? Not through a crystal ball, but with a pen, creativity, and your imagination.
Together with Charlie Tango, Dovetail, and SoulDoodles, we’re inviting you to an interactive, hands-on workshop where we’ll explore the emotional landscape of AI.
This isn’t your typical talk. We’ll move beyond data and trends to uncover what a truly human-centered future with AI feels like. Through a blend of qualitative research, creative expression, and speculative thinking, you’ll gain new tools to imagine—and shape—the futures we want to live in.
You’ll leave with fresh methods to combine emotional insights with creative foresight, helping you bring richer, more human perspectives into your work in the age of AI.
Who Is This For?
This workshop is for UX researchers, foresight practitioners, innovation leads, designers, and coaches who want to go deeper than data alone. If you’re looking to add a powerful, intuitive tool to your skill set, you’re in the right place.
What You’ll Experience
In this 2-hour lab, you’ll:
Feel the Future: Start by drawing your gut reaction to AI in 2030 to bring emotion to the forefront.
Get Inspired: Hear from a panel of experts on how research, foresight, and creative methods are all coming together to shape user-centric futures. Our speakers include Leanne from Dovetail, who will discuss how research patterns are changing with AI.
Sketch the Scenarios: Work in small groups to explore realistic AI-driven scenarios. You'll create a persona doodle, map their emotional journey, and identify a key ethical challenge.
Share Your Vision: Participate in a gallery walk to share your ideas and uncover emotional patterns, emerging fears, and signals of hope.
Reflect and Act: Close with a discussion on how to bring these new insights and methods back to your team.
Space is limited to 30–40 participants to ensure a hands-on, intimate experience. Don't miss this chance to draw a new future.
