Joon Community x Beitna: Music on the Metro

​Dear Community, Join us!

​We are bringing back our sustainable public transit tours in ATX (first of the year!), but this time with a twist. Instead of a tour, we will have a musical experience by our co-hosts, Beitna - Austin’s home for SWANA arts & culture.

During our journey on the red line, we will be welcomed with music by Reema Barakat and Danny Kodeih. They will be playing Arabic classics with oud and percussion.

​Meet at Plaza Saltillo Station for some quick conversations, and then from there we will be hopping on the red metro line for a 21-minute ride up north to the McKalla Station (Q2 Stadium)before heading back down with music along the entire ride inside the train.

​CapMetro digital metro passes will be sent via email/text before the event.

​We will have free drip coffee provided at the beginning of the event, thanks to Texas Coffee Traders Cafe! ☕️

​SCHEDULE:

​— 11:00 AM Event starts @ Plaza Saltillo Station for conversations free street parking nearby)

​— 11:38 AM The Red Line Metro arrives, and the tour gets on the train to go north

​— 12:00 PM Arrive at Q2 Station McKalla Station, and go to the other side of the platform

​— 12:05 PM Get on the southbound Red Line Metro to go back to the beginning of the tour

​— 12:27 PM Arrive back at Plaza Saltillo Station, event ends
