During this virtual event, you'll have the option to choose between three breakout sessions that will prepare you to advance climate action in your community:

  1. Run for Local Office - Co-hosted by: Nick Wahlers, Elections Director at Run On Climate and Orla Molloy, Operations Director at Run On Climate, with a guest appearance by Jack Hanson.

  2. Pass a Local Climate Policy – Co-hosted by Peter Jarka-Sellers, Policy Associate at Run On Climate, Alexandra Bradley, Policy Assistant Fellow at Run On Climate, with a guest appearance by Quinton Zondervan.

  3. Organize in Your Neighborhood – Co-hosted by Noah Spoth, Community Organizer at Run On Climate, Lindsey Maschler, Run On Climate Club Founder, University of Vermont, with guest appearances by Jack & Quinton.

Run On Climate’s mission is to accelerate cutting-edge climate policy at the local level in communities across the country by supporting candidates, collaborating with elected leaders, and expanding the influence of climate justice advocates.

Many climate organizations focus on state and federal-level policy and that work is critical. However, work at the local level is also critical, and it can and must happen in tandem with those higher-level policy struggles.

We believe that those who are passionate about the climate crisis can have an enormous impact by focusing on their own community. We are here to support them in that effort.
