About Event

From frontline communities to global summits, stories are shaping how the world understands and responds to the climate crisis. Visual media, digital advocacy, and Indigenous storytelling are revealing what’s often missing from data — the lived experiences of those navigating adaptation, loss and damage, and the fight for a just transition. Across Africa, the Americas, and the Pacific, youth and local storytellers are not just documenting change — they’re driving it.

This session will explore how storytelling can bridge policy, science, and community experience, reframing the climate narrative toward justice, resilience, and collective imagination. Together, we’ll ask: how can media and storytelling help build the inclusive transitions our world urgently needs?

Speakers

  • Allan Sebyala — Ugandan climate activist and visual storyteller using photography and film to amplify climate justice narratives and drive youth-led action.
