About the Speakers:
Muhammad Sayaf Arbab
Sayaf is the Chief Operating Officer at Seyrab, a groundwater technology startup. Seyrab is building a platform to optimize groundwater aquifers as nature’s storage tanks & make local water systems climate resilient. He is also Chief Operating Officer of ScaleX, where he helps build tech startups from the ground up. He has mentored numerous early stage, pre- product- market-fit startups, engaging in the areas of customer discovery, product differentiation, financial modeling, growth strategies, team building, pitching to customers, and fundraising. Prior to ScaleX, he managed the Global Acceleration Program in Islamabad and in the Bay Area, where twelve Pakistani startups were immersed in the Silicon Valley ecosystem out of which six (50%) raised funding from international investors. Some of the startups he has worked with have now scaled operations to multiple countries and have crossed $1M in annual revenue. In addition to his startup experience, Sayaf has also worked in the non-profit development sector, where he was responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of more than seventy donor funded projects across Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan. Sayaf has a BSc in International Business from ESB Business School in Germany and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from CUHK Business School in Hong Kong.
Binyameen Aslam
Binyameen is a Product Research Associate at Seyrab, a groundwater technology startup building a platform to optimize aquifers as nature’s storage tanks and make local water systems more climate-resilient. He is also a Product Associate at ScaleX, where he conducts founder evaluations and supports early-stage startups with customer discovery, value-proposition quantification, and product-market fit. Previously, he worked in Industrial IoT and helped an apparel manufacturer develop a digital transformation roadmap. Binyameen holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Taxila and an MS in Engineering Management from the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), Islamabad.
