Event description:

Indoor farming isn't just a novelty, it's a response to some of the most pressing challenges of our time.

Just Vertical's farms are helping address food insecurity, limited food access, and dwindling water supplies in remote communities across Nunavut, Alaska, Eastern Europe, and beyond. This is climate tech with real-world stakes, and exactly the kind of solution Toronto Climate Week was made to spotlight.

Step inside Just Vertical's Toronto warehouse for an exclusive, front-to-back look at how indoor farms are designed, built, and deployed around the world. Hear directly from the founders, get hands-on with the technology, and leave with a taste of what the future of food looks like.

What we'll cover:

  • The 8-year origin story of Just Vertical, from the first AEVA unit to a growing global operation

  • How the technology works and how it evolved from home farms to full commercial installations

  • A live assembly demo showing how consumer units are built on-site

  • A walkthrough of a working container farm, including a live tasting and harvesting your own produce off the wall

  • Where Just Vertical is headed next, followed by open Q&A and networking

Guests go home with fresh lettuce grown on-site and a seed starting kit to start growing at home (total value $40+).

Our location:

We are located in Etobicoke near Sherway Gardens.

At our address, we are located at Unit 1. We are the first unit closest to the street. You will see a big flag to denote our location.

Please also note that parking is quite limited. If you are unable to find a parking spot, you can park on the street.

The 123 Bus from Kipling station to Long Branch is the easiest method via public transit to access our location.
