Atelier Summer Showcase 2026
Join us at Atelier’s Summer Showcase 2026: Atelier Town. Members and friends of Atelier will show off their ambitious creative projects across robotics, software, art, writing, game development, music, and more. Celebrate the iterative process, get inspired, and start building!
📅 The Format
(11:00 AM) Welcome & Introductions: Settle in for the show and meet people new and old. You’ll have the opportunity to mingle and get started on some of our theme-based activities before the main attraction begins.
(11:30 AM) Stage Demos: Attend a celebration of Atelier’s creative community! We've invited a select group from our many participants to demo their projects in front of a live stage audience (that’s you)!
(1:10 PM) Booth Demos and Lunch: Explore what the community has in store for you, with interactive booths and attractions all around. Get to know our makers and what they've been doing all year while enjoying lunch!
(2:05 PM) Closeout: Return to the main stage for a final showcase of what Atelier has to offer, and stay for an invitation to our Special Introductory Session on Sunday, where you can get started with your own creative projects!

✨ Theme: Atelier Town 🏡🏘️
For one afternoon, Atelier becomes a quaint little town—and you're its newest arrival! Like any town, it's built by the people in it, and the townsfolk—our makers—have shown up with their own wares, skills, and trades, to help make the town come to life.
Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect from our lovely town this Saturday:
Welcome to Atelier pamphlets: Grab your guidebook at the gate and wander around the space! Complete with a mini side-quest, additional info, and a handy-dandy map.
Town Hall and Market Hall: Gather for feature presentations at the Town Hall (our main stage), or catch live demos at the Market Hall (our booths).
Town Tailor: Need to get some new clothes to match the occasion? Get fitted at the Town Tailor, our showcase merch shop. Everything sold at the event will be limited edition, so get yours while supplies last!
Open Music Jam: When the Market Hall opens, our main stage and Town Hall will turn into a live jam session that you can join in on—complete with interactive visualizers!
And other things… like the Town Library, where you can contribute to our book-sharing initiatives. Or, help bring the town to prosperity by completing a mini-quest. Or go even further: become a town resident by joining our Tuesday and Sunday co-working sessions!
❔ FAQ
Do I prepare anything for the event?
Nope :) it's an experience designed for you to get inspired, learn something new, and come away energized to create—which you can do as early as Sunday at our next session! It's a showcase of many of the projects that have come through our community this season.
Where is the event?
The event will take place downtown Vancouver, at UBC Robson Square (800 Robson St). The venue is downstairs on the classroom level, accessible by elevator on Hornby Street. You can park at the Law Courts lot as shown below.
Will there be food?
Yes! There will be snacks and a light lunch! There will also be a water cooler but please bring your own water bottle.
What should I bring?
A water bottle and your creative self! You may bring a small bag but please do not bring big bags as space will be limited.
OPTIONAL: Bring a book to donate to the town library, or take one home with you!
When should I arrive? Can I be late? Can I leave early?
The doors will open at 11:00 AM and the main portion of the event will start at 11:30 SHARP. Please arrive at 11:00 as we will have 200+ attendees to check-in. If you are running late, you may miss a part of the experience.
The active part of the event will end at 2:30 PM. We appreciate you coming and staying until then. The doors will close at 3 PM.
Anything else I should know?
On Sunday, July 19th (the day after the event) we will be hosting a very special Atelier coworking session from 1pm-4pm on UBC campus! Save the date & stay tuned for an invite! 😉
