South-South Collective for the Climate is proud to present its flagship Summit for the Global South, South-South Summit for the Climate in partnership with CEEW and Climate Collective Foundation (CCF) during the Delhi Climate Innovation Week 2026!
The path to Net Zero is impossible if the Global South is ignored. As the engine of innovation and the crucible of climate impact, these regions are where the 1.5o C pathway will be secured. We must move beyond Global North-dominated funding to empower the innovators who are building the foundations of a new, just green economy.
South-South Collective for the Climate platform:
Launched officially at COP30 in Belém, Brazil, the South-South Collective for the Climate (S2C2) is a pivotal component of the Plan to Accelerate Solutions (PAS) within the COP framework. Incubated by CCF and Climate Ventures, S2C2 is a coalition dedicated to building climate-tech ecosystems from within the Global South, facilitating the cross-border flow of knowledge, technology, and capital.
This summit, to be held on 27 Feb 2026 during Delhi Climate Innovation Week is Organized by S2C2, CCF and CEEW in partnership with Climate Champions Team. This serves as a critical convergence point to move from ambition to implementation. We aim to bridge the gap between India and Global South, overcoming geographic distances to brainstorm and build resilient climate-tech bridges.
WHY THIS EVENT
This summit is designed to cement the Global South's role as the protagonist of the new green economy. We focus on:
· Fostering Cross-Regional Collaboration: Establishing operational partnerships for technology transfer and shared market access.
· Strategic Bilateral Talks: Showcasing models for scaled South-South investment, specifically exploring bridges between India and Latin American hubs like Brazil, Colombia, and Guyana.
· Actionable Knowledge Pathways: Launching mechanisms to disseminate proven climate-tech ecosystem strategies from India to partner regions.
Here’s what is planned for South – South Summit for the Climate 2026:
10:00–10:30 AM: Registration & networking (30 min)
10:30–10:45 AM: CEEW keynote on their work in the Global South on Climate Tech (15 min)
10:45–11:00 AM: CCF presentation on the South-South Collective for the Climate (S2C2) platform (15 min)
11:00-11:10 AM: Buffer
11:10 AM–11:40 AM: Global South Cooperation for Climate Action - COP30 Action Agenda, with a specific focus on Plans to Accelerate Implementation (PAS) by Climate Champions Team
11:40 AM–12:10 PM: Discussion on pathways for cooperation between India & Latin America (1 hour)
12:15 PM–2:00 PM: Lunch & networking
