Here is a fun event for the non-cyclers who wanted to go to San Diego Climate Week Kickoff Event: Cycling towards Cleaner Air
Join Women in Cleantech & Sustainability for our very first San Diego Climate Week gathering!
We’ll kick things off with a community cleanup walk through Balboa Park—coming together to clear litter, connect with one another, and share the mission of WCS with park-goers along the way. Afterwards, you’re invited to keep the conversations going over complimentary snacks and drinks, followed by a panel discussion on Clean Air for All.
WHAT TO BRING: Comfortable walking shoes, a reusable water bottle, and your good energy! Compostable gloves and bags will be provided.

DETAILS: Meet at the WCS table outside the Mingei International Museum (next to the Craft Café in the Plaza de Panama in the middle of the park). We’ll network, share what WCS is all about, then walk and pick up litter. This event complements the Cycling Towards Cleaner Air event put on by BikeSD. If you are not riding, come along and join us. Riders and walkers will all end up at the Mingei to grab a snack and listen to the panel of local leaders spotlighting the importance of clean air. Give yourself time to park, or better yet, walk, carpool, or take transit to beautiful Balboa Park.
SCHEDULE:
5:00 pm – Meet & Networking in front of the Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park
5:30–6:15 pm – Community litter pickup
6:15–6:45 pm – Regroup at the Mingei, sunset snacks and beverages (sunset at 6:33 pm)
6:45–7:00 pm – Welcome remarks
7:00–7:45 pm – Panel discussion: Clean Air for All
7:45–8:00 pm – Q&A
